The first SR5 to roll out the door of the Venice workshop - a caffeinated SR500 bound for NY, commissioned by Billy Joel’s 20th Century Cycles.
TZ 750 front brake, Buchanans rims with 304 SS spokes. The fender was hand made by 7metal West with Deus fender mount.
The headlight was a old Ducati Mona modified to fit the Motogadget speedo ,head light bracket is hand made SS.
NOS Tommaselli clip ons and a quarter turn throttle. The twin pull brake is off a old water buffalo. The tank is a copy of a works Honda CR then heavily modified to fit that bike.
The motor has a big J&E forged piston with all new valves and rockers. Fully ported set up with a Megicycle cam shaft and FCR flat slid carb. The frame was straightened by Doctor Johns and then modified with a loop tail. The seat was hand crafted from the pan up - leather work was by C&C’s.
The shocks where made by Works Performance engineered by Pierre for Billy Wait .
There are a lot of parts on this bike that where made by A&A racing in Northern CA. They are a old school Flat track custom shop and have been racing and building parts for over 30 years.
They built the triple clamps (with adjustable offset) as well as the chrome-moly swing arm. The rear hub is a fully adjustable with knocks and full floating rear brake hanger (over sized roter and Brembo caliper).
